That’s me, Adam Thompson, a lifelong fan (and sufferer) of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Born and bred in Wolverhampton I have been going to Molineux since I was six years old.
From the days watching games with my dad in the then John Ireland Stand I went on to be an award-winning journalist working for three regional newspapers in The Midlands and the south of England.
While my bread and butter was that of a newshound my passion for football allowed me the great pleasure of reporting on Wolves, MK Dons, Luton Town and Northampton Town.
Before moving into journalism I was one of the original contributors and writers for the Wolves Football Fancast when it launched in 2007 – every now and then they allow me back! I was a member of the Fans’ Parliament and under Steve Morgan always pushed for our fans to have a stronger voice on matters at Molineux. These days I work in Public Relations and have been based in Dublin since early 2018 but believe me I never miss a beat on what’s going on back home!
With my love of writing and football, a blog on the game (with a blatant bias to my affection for Wolves) was always going to happen.
That’s enough about me, I hope you enjoy the blog.
All the best,
Up the Wolves
Adam
